Dr. Rodriguez, a native of Fajardo, Puerto Rico, holds the distinguished position of Associate Professor Emeritus of OBGYN at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. He also serves as Chief of Health Information at the Hispanic Communications Network, a role in which he is entrusted with the task of reviewing and producing all health-related media materials. As a co-founder of Latino Public Radio, he hosted a daily radio show in Spanish and was the proud recipient of the Metcalf Media Award. His current venture, Nuestra Salud, is broadcasted in Rhode Island via Latina 100.3 FM.

He is the founder and CEO of Nuestra Salud Productions, a Spanish multimedia production company and website dedicated to providing health information to the Spanish-speaking community. His tireless efforts and dedication have earned him numerous recognitions. Most recently, he was conferred with the Health Care Heroes Award by Providence Business News for his career achievements. He was also given the Trusted Messenger Award by the Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19 Public Education Campaign, and The Christiana Bannister Award by the RI Monthly.

He has previously served as Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of RI and has served on numerous leadership positions on boards including chairmanships of the RI Foundation, RI Project AIDS, Association of Reproductive Health Professionals and the International Institute. He currently serves on the boards of Neighborhood Health Plan of RI, Bank Rhode Island and Clinica Esperanza/Hope Clinic.
