Elizabeth Delude-Dix

Elizabeth Delude-Dix is an award-winning filmmaker whose work has been screened across the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Russia and South Africa at film festivals, museums and cinemas. Her most recent project is distributed by Magnolia Pictures. Her film work has received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Research, a Prix Italia, and several film festival awards. Elizabeth was honored by RIFF with a Producer’s Circle Award.

Before turning to filmmaking, Elizabeth taught as an adjunct professor of Cultural and Architectural Preservation at Salve Regina University, an undergraduate program she helped develop. She is the recipient of the Rhode Island Leadership Award and a citation from the State of Rhode Island for her role in founding WRNI, the state’s first public radio station. She is the past board chair of The Public’s Radio and former vice president of the Foundation for Ocean State Public Radio.

Elizabeth has also been the vice president of the Flaherty International Film Seminar, a global film arts organization based in New York City; Governance co-chair, Rhode Island PBS; Tell Another Mother, a national independent electoral radio project she developed and produced; and was a co-founder of UK Families Flight 103. She also worked as an IPEC International Observer documenting contentious parades in Belfast, Northern Ireland; was a NOW Equality Rider; a past board chair and grants chair of Rhode Island Humanities; and has served as an adviser, board member, or grants review panelist for several arts and advocacy organizations including Save The Bay, The Conservation Law Foundation and the Jamestown Arts Center.

Elizabeth grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island. She has lived in New York City, Europe, Oklahoma and now resides in Jamestown, Rhode Island.
