Anaridis Rodriguez is an award-winning bilingual journalist with expertise in multi-media production. Anaridis joined Rhode Island PBS as the host of Generation Rising in 2023. Since, she’s collaborated with our production teams to enterprise original and thought-provoking programming.
Anaridis’ experience as a journalist spans more than a decade. Most recently, she spent five years in Boston anchoring and reporting for WBZ-TV, a CBS Owned & Operated station. In her role at CBS News Boston, she contributed daily to live programming of developing news events and digital storytelling. Anaridis reported on the Coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 election, major criminal trials, and championship sporting events like Super Bowl LIII, the 2018 World Series, and four Boston Marathons. She was also part of the team who helped launch the region’s first, free, streaming news service and was the recipient of a NATAS Boston/New England Emmy® Award. During her time in Boston, Anaridis also worked as a trusted advocate within the community, with much of her reporting focusing on exposing systemic inequalities in education, access to housing and criminal justice.
Before moving back to New England, Anaridis traveled the country as a network correspondent for The Weather Channel/NBC, chronicling a range of stories from the impact of natural disasters across the United States to the Obama Administration’s focus on STEM education.
When she’s not inside RI PBS studios, Anaridis’ role as Vice President at The Perry Group keeps her busy focusing on developing communications strategies and community relations campaigns for the agency’s education and non-profit clients.
Born in the Dominican Republic, Anaridis immigrated with her family to Providence at the age of 12. She’s a proud graduate of Classical High School, Rhode Island College, and Emerson College.
