It's About Choices

Thank you for choosing to support Rhode Island PBS, your local public television stage for local voices and stories. We offer you different ways of giving and different levels of membership, each with benefits. Choose the level of giving that's best for you.

If you have any questions or need more information to help you decide, please call us (401-222-3636, extension 209) or email us and we'll be happy to assist.

Benefits

Your gift in any amount is welcome and appreciated, and your generosity earns benefits, rewards, and recognition at various levels.

Monthly eNewsletter
All donors are eligible to receive our eNewsletter each month by email. It showcases notable upcoming programs and new series, and events of interest to our viewers. Feature stories emphasize local shows and people, and articles link to photos and video clips. Past issues have included contests, ticket giveaways, favorite recipes, and photo sharing. It's a great way to stay connected to what's happening on and off the air at the station, and for you to share your thoughts and comments with us.

MemberCard
This benefit is brimming with savings and sociability and is yours with a gift of $75 or more. The most popular feature of the MemberCard is two entrées for the price of one at participating restaurants throughout the Rhode Island PBS viewing area, and 2-for-1 discounts at other local businesses and cultural attractions. Plus, benefit from discounts and deals at 12,000 additional locations nationwide and in Canada. The Rhode Island PBS MemberCard also earns members-only rewards for shopping at more than a thousand national online merchants, such as Best Buy, Target, iTunes, Barnes & Noble, Kohl’s, and so many more. Members receive a MemberCard welcome kit with a directory of participating restaurants and merchants, full instructions for using the MemberCard, and customer service information.

Personal Tour of the Station
Your behind-the-camera tour of the station's two studios and production facilities reveals what it takes to make a television show, as well as cast new light on familiar words like "library" and "tape." Kindly call ahead to make an appointment so we can dedicate our full attention to making yours a memorable tour.

Invitations to Rhode Island PBS events
The station's social calendar includes signature annual events as well as novel one-time activities each year. This benefit includes VIP, advance, or exclusive notice and invitation to special public or private station functions, including members-only receptions, events or other activities, celebrity meet and greets, and complimentary or discount tickets to performing arts, sports, and community events.

Planned Giving

In addition to giving cash and securities to support Rhode Island PBS today, a growing number of supporters are choosing to make a planned gift that ensures the future of Rhode Island PBS.

There are many ways to give a planned gift, and many reasons for giving. Some of our donors want to provide support for a particular genre of programming — science, the arts, history, or children's, for example. Others believe that Rhode Island PBS should have the flexibility to develop projects in response to emerging opportunities. All gifts support the ongoing mission of Rhode Island PBS to produce and present educational content that serves the public.

We recommend that you consult an attorney, financial advisor, or estate planning expert when considering your planned gift to Rhode Island PBS, and in preparing your will or trust. Rhode Island PBS does not provide legal or tax advice.

Our Planned Giving staff is available to work with your professional advisors to explore your best options for giving. For more information about how planned giving and legacy opportunities can work for you, your family, and your community, please contact Development and External Affairs at 401-222-3636.
